Destructive behaviors are those that have a negative impact on a person’s quality of life. Generally these behaviors are the result of ongoing issues that are affecting an individual’s normal psychological balance. The severity of the behaviors may vary, but may include things like self-harm, substance abuse, and lack of engagement in school or work.
If not address, destructive behaviors can result in life-threatening issues. With immediate treatment, such as transitional living and residential treatment programs, these behaviors can be managed.
